The FAFSA Simplification Act will streamline the FAFSA application process for families. The 2025-2026 FAFSA is now available.
The FAFSA is used to determine eligibility for need-based financial aid. Maryland residents are required to submit the FAFSA each year prior to March 1 to be eligible for MD State grants and scholarships.
Students who apply to the Mount by December 1 and file the FAFSA by January 15 will be in the first group of students who receive their financial aid notification, pending any additional information requests by the Financial Aid Office.
Students who apply to the Mount and file their FAFSA by February 1, will be eligible to receive their financial aid award notification by March 1.
The Financial Aid Office will be offering workshops to assist with completion of the FAFSA. Watch for announcement of dates.
