About the ASPIRE Office

The ASPIRE Office (Assessment, Strategic Planning and Institutional Research and Effectiveness) provides information, research, training and analysis to the Mount community for use in assessment, strategic planning and continuous improvement across the university. We also are responsible for official reporting to federal, state and accrediting agencies.

Graduation Rates

In compliance with Title I of the Student Right to Know Act, Mount St. Mary's University reports that those first-year students who:

  • entered on a full-time basis during the fall 2011 and graduated by July 1st 2017 achieved a six-year graduation rate of 63%
  • entered on a full-time basis during the fall 2010 and graduated by July 1st 2016 achieved a six-year graduation rate of 71%
  • entered on a full-time basis during the fall 2009 and graduated by July 1st, 2015 achieved a six-year graduation rate of 69%
  • entered on a full-time basis during the fall 2008 and graduated by July 1st 2014 achieved a six year graduation rate of 64%
  • entered on a full-time basis during the fall 2007 and graduated by July 1st, 2013 achieved a six-year graduation rate of 66%
  • entered on a full-time basis during the fall 2006 and graduated by July 1st, 2012 achieved a six-year graduation rate of 67%.
  • entered on a full-time basis during the fall 2005 and graduated by July 1st, 2011 achieved a six-year graduation rate of 76%.
  • entered on a full-time basis during the fall 2004 and graduated by July 1st, 2010 achieved a six-year graduation rate of 73%.
The six-year graduation rate of student-athletes who received athletic-related aid and who
  • entered in the fall of 2010 and graduated by July 1st 2016 was 75%
  • entered in the fall of 2009 and graduated by July 1st 2015 was 78%
  • entered in the fall of 2008 and graduated by July 1st, 2014 was 70%
  • entered in the fall of 2007 and graduated by July 1st, 2013 was 75%
  • entered in the fall of 2006 and graduated by July 1st, 2012 was 73%.
  • entered in the fall of 2005 and graduated by July 1st, 2011 was73%

AS OF JULY 1, 2017

  • Mount St. Mary's four-year graduation rate for the class of 2017 was 62%
  • The five-year graduation rate for the class of 2016 was 64%
  • The six-year graduation rate for the class of 2015 was 63%
