Men's and Women's Diving Coach-Part Time

General Position Description

Mount St. Mary's University in Emmitsburg, Maryland, is accepting applications for the position of a part-time assistant swimming coach. The assistant coach will assist the head coach in all aspects of the men’s and women’s swimming program, including:

  • Recruitment of qualified student-athletes.
  • On deck coaching, meet preparation, and scheduling.
  • Budget management and fundraising.
  • Schedule and coordinate team training time and travel to off-site 3M facility and additional competitions deemed necessary by the coaching staff.
  • Overall administration of a Division I swimming program in accordance with institutional, NCAA and conference rules and regulations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Successful collegiate coaching and/or collegiate swimming experience desired.
  • Successful candidate will have current or will complete course work during the first semester of employment in Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR, and Frederick County Pool Operator certification.

Salary

  • This is a part-time position.
  • Competitive salary commensurate to experience.
  • Academically qualified candidates will be eligible for graduate school tuition remission benefits at the university.
