Assistant Professor of Psychology

Job Description

The Department of Psychology in the School of Natural Science and Mathematics at Mount St. Mary’s University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor with a preferred emphasis on Cognitive/Developmental Neuroscience or Developmental Psychology or Cognitive Psychology starting August, 2021. A Ph.D. is the expected qualification, although ABDs will be considered. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses including Introduction to Psychology, Lifespan Development, Cognitive Psychology, Research Methods and Statistics, and other experimental psychology or neuroscience courses, and be responsible for developing an active laboratory. Responsibilities include student academic and senior thesis advising. Department members work closely with undergraduates in developing independent senior research projects.
