General Job Description

The School of Education at Mount St. Mary’s University invites an outstanding educator with expertise in special education to apply for a full time lecturer appointment in Education. The ideal candidate will possess a PhD in Special Education or related field, with experience teaching both special education and general education courses . We desire someone who can diversify and complement the existing strengths and course offerings in the School of Education.  The teaching load is 24 credits per academic year.   He/She should have demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service to the campus community.

The successful candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to the Catholic, liberal arts mission of the university. Strong computer skills, written and oral skills, and an ability to multitask is required. Experience in experiential training and facilitation is preferred, and willingness to work with faculty and integrate programming with curricular priorities is expected.


This is a full-time position with full benefits and holiday and sick leave. Competitive salary commensurate to experience.
