Campus Work Orders
On occasion, you may find the need to contact Physical Plant regarding a maintenance or custodial need in your area. Our work order system, FMX, is the tool you can use to place your work order.
Who can use FMX?
- RA’s
- Faculty/Staff/Administrators
Please approach the lead/dean of your department about a concern to be sure the issue has not already been reported.

Using FMX
The FMX system is designed to be user-friendly with simple drop-down choices. The departments that can be accessed for service are:
- Custodial (cleaning)
- Maintenance (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, General Maintenance, Carpentry)
- Grounds (Grass, weeds, snow, ice, trash on grounds, etc.)
- Logistics (moving items, event setup/breakdown, transport)
- Painting
- FFE (furnishings)
- Office Moves
- Exterminator
- Fleet repair
There are required fields to complete on the form such as your building, room number, and contact information. We will take care of assigning your request to the proper department/staff person. If you need your request to be completed by a certain date, you may request that as well and we will do our best to accommodate. You will receive email updates as your work order has responses or is resolved.
