The Mount community is made up of wonderful people with diverse backgrounds, and just like at home, you will have lots of fun in your shared living space. The Office of Residence Life is here to support students at all points in their college experience. If you are having issues or concerns with your living arrangement or roommate group, the Office of Residence Life can help!
The Office of Residence Life at Mount St. Mary’s University strives to create safe and inclusive living and learning environments for all residential students at the Mount. Through fair, just, and restorative student conduct processes, in-hall educational and social programming, and an overall care for creating comfortable physical spaces, the Office of Residence Life provides a supportive environment for students to live out the university mission. By living on campus, students will develop the skills necessary to positively engage in their communities with integrity and respect for others. It is our goal to ensure that students will graduate as positive contributors in their communities and society.
Our residence halls are run by professional staff which includes 34 resident assistants (RAs) and 5 community assistants (CAs) that will make you feel at home from day one. Living away from home can sometimes be difficult, so the low student-to-RA ratio ensures that students have maximum direct contact with their RAs. Whether you need help academics, are experiencing social issues or just need someone to talk to, the RAs and CAs at the Mount know the ropes and are to make your Mount experience the best it can be.
